Services Offered:

Parent Advocacy Coaching:

This service is based upon the belief that most parents, with help and guidance from a knowledgeable parent advocacy coach, have the ability to effectively advocate for their children.  Common areas of concentration are as follows: Strategic planning in how to advocate for and meet the Management, Academic, Physical and Social Needs of your child within the school setting, identify further evaluations and assessments that may be necessary, share knowledge of IDEA and NYS Special Education Regulations.

Information and Referrals:

Effective gathering and exchange of information is the key to determining what the best course of action is for your child.  We aim to provide guidance and direction for parents who may be having difficulty  knowing where to turn for help and information.

Advocate at Meetings

We provide advocate support at CSE meetings in the Hudson Valley area of New York State (with the exception of the Kingston City School District).

Letter Editing and Feedback

We provide the invaluable service of editing letters for clients and providing feedback as to why changes to letters are encouraged.  We do not, as a rule, write letters for clients.  We believe that learning advocacy is best done by doing and getting the appropriate support and feedback.

Seminars/Speaking Engagements are prepared and given upon request with the central focus of assisting parents seize their role in the Special Education System.
